How to Find Your Palace Lord: The Twelve Branches Table

Once you know where your Life Palace is, you understand yourself a little.

What you need to understand next is the star that governs each palace — its Palace Lord — before you can move on to the next step.

Start With the Branch on Each Palace

First, notice that each palace is marked with one of the branches 子丑寅卯辰巳午未申酉戌亥.

The 子 and 丑 palaces are both governed by Saturn (鎮星).

The 寅 and 亥 palaces are both governed by Jupiter (歲星).

The 卯 and 戌 palaces are both governed by Mars (熒惑).

The 辰 and 酉 palaces are both governed by Venus (太白).

The 巳 and 申 palaces are both governed by Mercury (辰星).

The 午 palace is governed by the Sun.

The 未 palace is governed by the Moon (太陰).

So start by finding the governing star of your Life Palace. It’s the most basic first step.
