The People Who Can Help You Are Already in Your Chart — Keeping Them Is Another Matter

The configuration of time and space a person is born into describes not only the person, but also the people they will meet in this life.

And how high those people stand, and whether they can help, often comes closer to the crux of fate than one’s own ability. So a certain situation arises: ability and effort are both in place, and still things won’t move — not because this person isn’t good enough, but because the line that should have been helping them has broken.

The only difference is whether the line that helps you is open.

One Chart: Why People Want to Help Him

Take the following chart.

The client was born in the 丑 month, when Earth is strong. He is a Metal-type person, and Saturn in his Partnership Palace is fairly strong in the 丑 month — stronger than Metal. So he can absorb what others teach him, listens to his partner or collaborators, and in character and conduct is able to think of others. He is born easy for others to want to help.

On top of that, the Life Palace layer shows no Jupiter or Ethereal Benevolence — Conquest Stars — coming to harm the Benefactor Star, so he isn’t one to chase quick gains; he won’t take someone’s help and then drop them straight away for a bigger profit. In this he keeps up the way others see him.

In other words, the reason this Saturn and Ascending Lunar Node are auspicious is that his character is worthy of them. A Benefactor Star isn’t good by birth — having many benefactors isn’t necessarily good either; it depends on whether the configuration is worthy of them.

On the chart it looks like this: an Ox Mansion (牛) person whose Stellar Regent is Venus, whose Imprinting Star is Saturn in the Partnership Palace, a Benefactor Star — the Benefactor Archetype — and born in the 丑 month, where the strong benefactor can generate Venus. So this person is certain to get help from his wife, and when working with others he will mostly meet good partners. Saturn also transforms into 天貴星, so his counterparts are mostly people of wealth. Add the Ascending Lunar Node in the Journeys Palace, a Benefactor Star and Shadow Regent, generating him, and the line of foreign trade is open for him too.

2001 and 2017: The Line Opens, Then Breaks

In fact, in April 2001, when he entered the Well Mansion (井) degree and Saturn, Mars and Ethereal Benevolence came to the fore, he met the benefactor of his destiny and went into business dealing with overseas partners. Within just ten years, still young, his assets had passed a hundred million.

But this configuration greatly fears meeting Jupiter or Ethereal Benevolence alone, without Mars or the Descending Lunar Node to transform the Wood into generating Earth.

So when he reached the Root Mansion (氐) degree in the 卯 palace in 2017, the Earth degree met the Lunar Apogee in the opposite palace, 酉, supporting Jupiter’s affliction, and things began to slide. The Neck (亢), Horn (角) and Chariot (軫) Mansion degrees were not good either.

After 2017 he became more opinionated and put more weight on results and profit, and the benefactors who had been helping him gradually drifted away.

Set that against the two sentences earlier and you can see it: what had made him someone people helped was that he listened to others, and that he didn’t drop people for a bigger profit. After 2017, both of those reversed.

At the other end, the benefactor who helped him ran into a debt crisis of his own — the Lunar Apogee is the Adversity–Blessings Lord and Jupiter the Wealth–Creativity Lord, so the Lunar Apogee, standing for debt, and Jupiter, standing for finances, both afflicted the benefactor who helped him.

When a line breaks, it’s usually both ends at once: at one end, he himself changed; at the other, the other person hit a hard time of their own.

2037: Written Down Here First

I told the client himself about the 2001 and 2017 periods at the time. But that was between the two of us and left no record, so you needn’t treat it as evidence.

What I can do is something else: write the 2037 period down here first. This article has a date; you can come back and check.

In 2037, when he enters the Wings Mansion (翼) degree and the Ascending Lunar Node no longer afflicts his degree, he can climb back up from the bottom and prosper and rise once more.

If this man turns things around in 2037, it won’t be because he’s lucky; it will be because his innate foundation is still there.

But there is something more practical: if you know early which stretches of your fortune the people around you can help with and which they can’t, you know where to put your strength. That is what reading a chart really saves you — not foreknowledge of the outcome, but not wasting your strength at the wrong time, on the wrong people.

Understanding yourself matters a great deal — including understanding when you will turn into a different person.
