The Man Who Loved Cars
This is a client who loves cars.
When he was small the family had just enough to get by. The largest memory of his childhood is of the family having to move away from the place he was born because of debt — and what carried him out was a car.
He went out to work early; the university degree came later.
In 2005 he bought his first car because the work required it, and started up in steel. In business he would let his ambition run wide whenever a partner egged him on, and he liked to borrow in order to leverage the scale of his operation. Fortunately, with the good outward impression he made and the guarantees and help of many benefactors, he always came through his close calls, going from nothing to a fortune in the tens of millions.
But in 2012, travelling through the Ox Mansion (牛) — the Partnership–Wealth period — a partner and a client worked him over together, and he came to the edge of bankruptcy.
The loans blew wide open, and the work stopped dead.
While he was raising money, the man who loved cars most had no choice but to sell them all.
The following year, 2013, travelling through the Dipper Mansion (斗) — the Journeys–Hidden period — he moved to another city, bought a house and started over.
In 2016 the period shifted into the Career Palace (丑), met by two Harmonious stars, Mercury and Jupiter, that generate it — Mercury in particular, as 天印星, carrying the endorsement of professional skill. The work came back entirely, and so he bought a good car again.
In 2023 the business lost money, and his grandmother died.
In 2026 someone in the family ran into trouble at work.
This year he came to ask how next year looks.
Next year, 2027, the Annual Advancement runs in 卯, where Fire and Earth within the palace afflict the degree he occupies in the Winnowing Basket Mansion (箕). Health will become a problem, mainly of the heart, the brain and the blood — and the loans will become a problem too. This year he needs to reduce the debt; extending the terms is the best course available to him.

2005, bought a car. The Annual Advancement fell in 丑, meeting the Communication–Service Lord — Mercury and Jupiter — and the Annual Forecast brought the Life–Adversity Lord, Mars, transforming through Wood to generate the Career Palace (丑). He took out a loan and bought a car for the work.
2012, near bankruptcy, sold the car. The Annual Advancement fell in the Creativity Palace (午), where the Wealth–Partnership Lord, Venus, afflicted the Journeys Palace, and the Life–Adversity Lord, the Descending Lunar Node, came to check it. He sold the car.
2013, bought a house. The Sun came to the fore with the Estate Palace Lord, the Moon, trining it; the Annual Advancement fell in 巳, trined by Mercury, Jupiter, Ethereal Benevolence and the Lunar Apogee.
2016, bought a car. The Annual Advancement fell in the Journeys Palace (寅), where Venus generates and supports the Communication Palace (申). He bought a car.
2023, business losses, grandmother died. The Annual Advancement fell in the Communication Palace (申), afflicted by the Career–Blessings Lord — the Shadow Regent Ascending Lunar Node, a Discordant Star — so the business went badly. The grandmother belongs to Earth and to the Ascending Lunar Node, which here is Discordant.
