How does the Saturn person handle difficulty and pressure?

The Saturn person actively chooses difficulty. They know that reaching their goals requires enduring hardship, so they do not fear it — it is simply part of the process. They absorb others' burdens, take on tasks others avoid, and set strict rules they hold to without fail. When the pressure is greatest, their emotions grow calmer rather than wilder; they do not make wrong judgments. In great matters, they find stillness.

Without Earth there is no prime minister — the Saturn person carries the hardships of countless lifetimes within them, refined into rare and particular abilities. A truly powerful Saturn can face any difficulty and shoulder the heaviest of burdens.

The Saturn person solves countless small problems. Over a long span of time this accumulation resolves even the most massive problem — and through it all they develop a deep understanding of the whole, because they have worked through every specific small detail. This is why they can become a prime minister: they understand all things, and can accept all people.

All of these qualities grow from a single core: integrity.

What I promised myself, I will accomplish. What I promised others, I will also accomplish.

They know that reaching their goals will require going through every kind of hardship — so they do not fear hardship. It is nothing more than the process. Through that process they gradually absorb the weight of many others' affairs and move steadily forward, step by step, accumulating great momentum until it becomes unstoppable — and then they overwhelm. That is Earth.

The good Saturn person's tolerance is purposeful: for the sake of a goal, they tolerate others, take on the tasks no one else wants, and absorb enormous amounts of negative emotion.

This is because the Saturn person chooses difficulty. They will not give up on something broken; they want to turn the bad into good. They receive difficulty passively — finding what is valuable within adversity. They easily take on responsibility; and so the Saturn person also lives a very heavy life.

And so the Saturn person sets rules and holds to them. Rules are how they move, step by step, to completion.

Steadfast and slow, the Saturn person trains their abilities without stopping — becoming precise and certain of their ground. Through strict and exacting standards, they acquire skills that few others can; they handle anything with ease, and complete their objectives under the highest pressure.

And so Earth embodies trust.

What I promise you — whether you are myself or another — I will complete, even if it takes a lifetime.

If you anger the Saturn person, they will bury that anger and say nothing. But when the moment comes, they will scheme, and you will pay heavily. If you make them happy, they can easily believe everything — they simply may not show it. It is hard to know what they are truly thinking.

Their guiding principle: if something is to succeed, it must be done quietly.

And there is another characteristic: when faced with something truly urgent, their emotions grow calmer rather than wilder. They will not make wrong judgments. In great matters, they find stillness.

Earth generates Metal.

The fruits of Earth's labor become the energy that Metal enjoys — and so Earth generates Metal.
