The Natal Chart (本命盤) fixes the Seven Regulators and Four Shadows at the moment of birth. From it come the Life Palace, the Stellar Regent, the Imprinting Star and the twelve palaces — the structural facts of a life that do not change.
Every timing layer in this system — Annual Advancement, Monthly Advancement, Subtle Discernment Periods — is read as movement against this fixed ground. The distinction matters in practice: a reading that says "this line of work does not suit you" is a statement about the natal chart, while "but you can still do it until thirty-four" is a statement about the timing layers. The two are not in conflict; they answer different questions.
